All staff are qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection and hold a Level 2 in Food Hygiene.

Ripe Nursery - Miss Charlotte
Miss Charlotte : Nursery Manger

Miss Charlotte is room leader for Little Owls and our Forest School Lead. Miss Charlotte has worked in Early Years for over 20 years and holds a Level 4 certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner and Level 3 in Forest School Leader, Health and Safety and Special Educational Needs (SEND). 
Miss Charlotte is currently studying NPQ Early Years in Leadership.

Miss Charlotte is the nursery’s SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Miss Charlotte is also trained in Makaton and loves teaching everyone the signs! Miss Charlotte is very passionate about Forest School and believes children should be outdoors in all weathers! Miss Charlotte has two children who attended Ripe Nursery and loves to go to see musical’s, read and go running.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Katherine
Miss Katherine : Deputy Manager

Miss Katherine is room leader in Wise Owls. Miss Katherine has been at Ripe Nursery since 2003. She holds a B'tec National Diploma in Nursery Nursing and also holds a level 2 in Speech and Language support for 3 -5-year-olds. Miss Katherine has 2 children who also attended the nursery and lives on a farm.

Miss Katherine enjoys sharing her stories from the farm with the children and loves to hear about their experiences from home.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Mel K
Miss Mel K : Room Leader At The Nest

After training at Norland College Miss Mel worked as a nanny for 18 years before moving to nurseries when she had her own children. Miss Mel absolutely loves working with babies and enjoys working with parents to ensure the transition from home to nursery is as smooth as possible for both parents and children.

Miss Mel holds a CACHE level 3 and is currently studying in Leadership in Early Years. Miss Mel has 3 children, 2 of which went to Ripe Nursery and in her spare time enjoys walking her dog.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Grace
Miss Grace : Wise Owls

Miss Grace joined Ripe Nursery in April 2021. Miss Grace has 3 children who all attended Ripe Nursery. Before joining us, Miss Grace was a Primary School Teacher teaching in Year 2 and Reception, this has really helped Miss Grace to prepare the children in Wise Owls for their transition to school.

Miss Grace has a degree in Geography from Royal Holloway University London. In her spare time you will find Miss Grace sewing children’s clothes for her little side hustle ‘Ickle Brickell’ or out on the farm with her husband and little team in tow!


Ripe Nursery - Miss Tracey
Miss Tracey : The Nest

Miss Tracey joined Ripe Nursery in January 2019. Miss Tracey started her working career as a First Choice Representative in Turkey supporting families on holiday before coming back to England to retrain as a Nursery Practitioner gaining her NVQ Level 3 in Early Years.

Miss Tracey finds working in early years very rewarding, by helping the children develop and achieve their mile stones before going off to their next big adventure primary school.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Sarah
Miss Sarah : Little Owls

Miss Sarah holds a Level 3 Childcare and Education Diploma and has 18 years’ experience in early years. Miss Sarah loves making relationships with the families and children and enjoys being outside, crafting and singing with the children.

Miss Sarah lives on a farm with her husband and daughter, who also attended the nursery.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Claudia
Miss Claudia : Wise Owls

Miss Claudia joined the Ripe team in September after spending 7 years as a private nanny and 5 years as a full-time mum. Miss Claudia is currently pursuing her level 3 nursery practitioner qualification. Working with children and contributing to their early years development brings Miss Claudia immense joy.

At home, Miss Claudia shares her life with her husband, two children aged 5 and 2, and her friendly cocker spaniel, Cormac.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Isabel
Miss Isabel : Wise Owls And Little Owls

Miss Isabel is currently studying for her Level 3 Early Years Educator. You will find Miss Isabel in the home corner having tea or reading stories to the children!

Miss Isabel has a distinction in Level 3 art and design, and in her spare time likes to paint or being busy on her sewing machine.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Christine
Miss Christine : The Nest

Miss Christine has worked with children now for seven years, this began as a teaching assistant in school and a school nursery. Miss Christine holds a level three early years educator qualification. Two of Miss Christine’s children attended Ripe Nursery and it was her inspiration for working in Early Childhood Education.

Miss Christine has three children and a cat called Smudge. When she gets the chance she enjoys theatre, singing, dancing, eating out and country walks.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Laura
Miss Laura : Wise Owls

Miss Laura began working in Early Years in 2009. Miss Laura is qualified in Level 3 Early Years  Educator and is trained in Makaton. Miss Laura is also a Qualified Children and Adult's Aerial instructor and teaches Circus skills classes and workshops, as part of a community interest company, Sweet Circus.

Miss Laura is passionate about promoting inclusivity, positive physical and mental health and is looking forward to applying this to her role in Wise Owls. Miss Laura is a Mum of 3 boys and enjoys spending time with her family and walking their Frenchie.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Kate
Miss Kate : Little Owls

Our Forest School Assistant, Miss Kate has spent all her working life with Nursery children in a variety of settings. First in an East Sussex Nursery class then a village Pre-school. She has also worked in Day Nurseries and an Independent school Nursery. Miss Kate holds a NVQ4 in Childcare and attended an introduction to Forest School course.

Miss Kate has three grown up children and loves being a grandma. Miss Kate loves walking, swimming, and reading. Miss Kate has a very large collection of children’s books which she has collected over many years and enjoys sharing them with the children at Nursery.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Mel G
Miss Mel G : The Nest

Miss Mel started working at Ripe Nursery in 2006 when her daughter left to start school, she also has a son. Miss Mel moved to The Nest in Laughton when it opened for our under two’s, and she really loves working with the babies, watching them grow in confidence and become independent little people.

Miss Mel holds a Level 2 qualification in childcare. Miss Mel loves nature, our wild birds, insects, creatures, and plants. Miss Mel spends a lot of her spare time growing plants, gardening, walking in the woods or watching the different birds at the Reservoir.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Jas
Miss Jas : The Nest

Miss Jas is currently undertaking a Level 3 in Early Years Educator. Before joining Ripe Nursery School, Miss Jas worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school. Miss Jas has two children, who both attended the nursery. In her free time Miss Jas likes to ride her horse and walk her 3 dogs.


Ripe Nursery - Miss Rolanda
Miss Rolanda : Wise Owls and Little Owls

Lunch assistant and bank staff.

Miss Rolanda holds an NVQ 2 in Early Years Care and Education and has worked part time in many settings over the past 15 years. Both younger boys have SEN, therefore Miss Rolanda has undertaken many recent training courses on ASD, ADHD, Epilepsy and FASD, which assisted her personal development.

Miss Rolanda uses her knowledge to volunteer within her son’s primary school, reading, phonics and running their library. Early Years is Miss Rolanda’s passion, as it is such a wonderful and enriching experience to be part of a child’s development in these early years.

Miss Rolanda is a mum to 2 grown up adult children, who have given her 4 wonderful grandchildren. Miss Rolanda also has 2 younger school aged, adopted boys.
