Owlets

Owlets is conveniently located in the village of Ripe, welcoming families from the surrounding villages of Chalvington, Selmeston, Firle, Berwick and Alciston, as well as those travelling from Lewes, Hailsham and Uckfield.

The Owlets room is for our 2–3 year olds. All children are allocated a ‘Key Person’, who works closely with parents with settling in and getting to know each child’s needs. We believe in using children’s interests to make a warm and inviting environment, where children thrive to develop by exploring and learning through play. After lunch, we create a calm and cosy area for our rest time, the children are then ready for more fun for our afternoon session.

Owlets Indoors

In Owlets you will find a cosy home corner, set up just like a real home! Here children get busy cooking, do some washing, hoovering or just chill on the sofa while chatting on a pretend phone! There is a calm book area where children can sit on comfy bean bags to look at books and a separated eating area for mealtimes. Owlets have a creative corner, where they can self-select paints, glue, crayons and get very messy while being creative! The small room is used for rest time, allowing peace and calm with fairy lights glowing and relaxing music playing.

Owlets Outdoors

Out in our garden children will find an intriguing house to explore, a mud kitchen area to create new recipes, an a-frame to test their mountain climbing skills and plenty of space to run, skip, jump and ride bikes. There is also a tool bench where children can learn safely how to use real tools (with adult supervision of course!
